Austin & Augusta is proud to present truly original and unique custom homes inspired by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and other master architects of the Prairie School. Each home we design and build is specifically formulated to fulfill your individual needs, as well as your building site and budget.

At Austin & Augusta we encourage you to become involved with the design and building progress. Allow us to introduce ourselves. Steve Heinemann, owner-manager, Madeline Heinemann, owner-quality control, Randy McPhail, construction supervisor, Joe Kooyenga, project supervisor, and Michelle McDowell, head draftsperson. Steve and Madeline moved to Grand Junction in 1990, bringing with them years of experience in the construction, design, and financing of custom homes. In 1991 they began Austin & Augusta Design (named for the Chicago intersection where Steve's grandfather built his first home in which Steve's father was born).

By carefully assessing the needs of the owner and the family, Austin & Augusta is able to design and build a home that is tailored to the way the residents want to live.
